The Special Needs Information Program (SNIP) helps keep individuals with disabilities safe during emergencies by bridging communication with first responders. SNSC trains local police, firefighters, and EMTs to recognize and respond appropriately when interacting with people with disabilities.
Individuals with disabilities can request a SNIP Kit that helps emergency responders quickly identify that someone is in the program. The kit includes:
Car magnet

Zipper pull

Silicone bracelet

Lanyard and ID card

These items signal to responders that additional communication or support may be needed, ensuring safer, more effective care in an emergency.
You can order your SNIP Kit by emailing Shana at shana@snsc-uv.org. We will not share your contact information.
After any interaction with a first responder, you are also encouraged to share feedback anonymously using the form provided here. Your input helps responders continue to improve how they serve our community.
