Since 1979, we’ve been fostering inclusion through advocacy, education, and community programs—creating a world where everyone belongs.
Our community is strengthened by the belonging of all. We are a group of individuals and families throughout the Upper Valley, working together to create a space where people with disabilities can thrive and live their best lives.
We provide free adult and youth programs including social events, education classes, and school vacation camps.
Our advocates support children and families during initial evaluations and the IEP/504 process, as well as adult connections with social services and medical advocacy.
This training allows staff, community volunteers, and emergency responders to understand, support, and serve individuals with disabilities with respect and an attitude of inclusivity.
Through Enabled Upper Valley, businesses gain the tools to foster belonging and create inclusive spaces where all abilities are valued. By implementing best practices, they help build a stronger, more welcoming community.
Enabled Upper Valley is a unique program offered by SNSC to collaborate with local businesses to become more welcoming to community members with disabilities.
Enabled Upper Valley transforms communities through education and awareness to become spaces of belonging. Our disability-friendly certification program helps organizations to develop and implement best practices for supporting all individuals within the community, regardless of ability, through a series of training and consultations.
All people with disabilities, and their families, have opportunities and support to pursue their goals and aspirations.

In 1979 the parents of a girl with autism began reaching out to other parents in their community. This informal parent support network would eventually grow into the Special Needs Support Center.
SNSC believes in a future that goes beyond disability specific programming and incorporates inclusion and belonging into all facets of our community through strategic educational and awareness campaigns and opportunities. The evolution of disability advocacy is calling for a new chapter in which every individual, regardless of ability, feels like they belong.
