After a spring of planned and unplanned changes, Special Needs Support Center is operating at a reduced pace for the summer. Our offices have moved to the Whipple Building, also in Lebanon. The main phone number remains the same: (603)-448-6311.
For now, we can be found in a small office, #15 on the second floor. We are currently operating with limited staffing; please call if you wish to stop by. But we are happy to report that we will be moving to a three-room suite in the same building at the end of the summer. Our Board of Directors will be doing some strategic rethinking about our mission, our program offerings, and our fiscal approach to meeting current goals and future service requests. Please know that during the summer months, the Educational Advocacy program will not be taking new referrals and will not be able to address new issues from previous families. For immediate phone consult about a special education matter, Vermont parents should call the Vermont Family Network (VTFN) at (800)-800-4005, and New Hampshire parents should call the NH Parent Information Center (PIC) at (603)-224-4365.
We are offering a morning session of Summer ART LAB at the usual time of 9:30 to 11:00 for five weeks starting Wednesday, July 5. The Steps Social Thinking Group (part of the ASPIRE Program) will also run for five weeks at the Green Mountain Children’s Center in White River Junction at the usual time from 1:00 to 3:00 starting Saturday, July 8. There will be two monthly Happenings events, a Music Fun Night on Friday, July 21 at 7:00, and a BBQ at the CCBA Picnic Pavilion on Friday, August 18 at 6:00. Please see the calendar for more details.
