The Special Needs Support Center helps children and adults with special needs, and their families, meet their unique challenges through advocacy and program support. Children and families served by SNSC are more productive, have greater independence, and are empowered to contribute to their communities.

ART LAB is a weekly studio art program for adults with special needs co-sponsored by SNSC and the AVA. The first session of ART LAB was held in March 2008 with six artists. The program has grown to an enrollment of more than forty participants in each of the four sessions held throughout the year. The participating artists get a chance to explore different media with an emphasis on self-expression while they enjoy socializing in a creative environment.
“We hope you will join us in celebrating the work of community members with special needs while supporting our mission,” said Executive Director, Laura Perez. “Attending Delicious Art is not just an investment in SNSC, but an investment in the whole community.”
Trip Anderson, AVA’s Executive Director, stated, “We’re proud to support the Special Needs Support Center as their partner in ART LAB and Delicious Art. All of their programs improve the lives of so many of our friends and neighbors. We couldn’t be happier to sustain their efforts to make our community a happier and healthier place for everyone.”
