Pamela Blair
Program Director

I joined SNSC in March 2006 as a part time Respite Coordinator, and my position became fulltime in 2007. In addition to Respite Care, I now run the Happenings Program and a one-to-one mentoring program called Connections. I assist with the STAR Program, and I coordinate both Life Long Learning Programs (ART LAB and Education Classes). I continue to offer some administrative support and database oversight as needed.

My previous position was with The Family Place in Norwich, VT where I served for almost nine years as a home-visiting family support worker, as a case manager for special-needs children ages birth to three, and as a benefits manager for the State of Vermont’s child care subsidy program. I really enjoy helping families and individuals recognize their own strengths and build on them while accessing available resources to make that process more successful.

I have lived permanently in the Upper Valley since the early 1980’s. I have a background in writing and education, and I lived for a while off the grid and off the land as much as possible (food, firewood and maple syrup). My primary non-work activities are enjoying time with my musician/DJ partner, gardening, cooking, reading, walking, and devoting my winters to downhill skiing and racing. Life has given me a high-energy adult daughter with a big heart, a multi-talented son-in-law, an accomplished son who has a lovely and courageous girlfriend, and two awesome, entertaining and at times humbling young grand sons.
